The Roger Levit Memorial Scholarship

In 2024 the North Coast Mac Users Group was searching for a way to create a memorial for Roger Levit, one of the founders of NCMUG, who passed away in December 2024. Roger loved technology, particularly the Mac, and had served as a mentor and friend to many members, sharing his knowledge and taking great pleasure in watching people increase their understanding and use of computers.

At the same time, NCMUG was seeking an opportunity to engage in community outreach. Therefore, in February 2024, the board voted to establish a $10,000 endowment under the auspices of the Santa Rosa Junior College Foundation, in order to create The Roger Levit Memorial Scholarship.

Details and How to Apply

The scholarship is awarded annually to continuing students in the Computer Information Studies Department at Santa Rosa Junior College who are taking classes with an emphasis on the Mac platform and are pursuing a career in the computer information field.

The SRJC Foundation staff screens all applicants, finds students who meet the criteria, and selects the recipients.
